The Bruins picked up a home win against Toronto last night, with Tim Thomas in net.

NFL Free Agency began at midnight, and things have been very quiet around Foxborough. The only mention I’ve seen of them is Jason La Canfora of NFL Network saying that the Patriots, along with the Eagles, had offers in to Julius Peppers, who is visiting the Bears today, and seems a good bet to sign there.

  1. I know Cherry is bombastic but watch his Coaches Corner episodes on CBC.ca. He is incredibly informative on the game of hockey.

  2. Pats just signed Vince Wilfork to a record deal….anybody want to bet the local scribes (who constantly accuse the Pats of being cheap) now start chiping that the Pats overpaid Wilfork?……you can count on it

    1. They kinda did, actually. Wilfork only plays about 55% of the snaps. The NFL is more and more a passing league and he doesn’t exactly “get after it”

      1. well, you can argue that. My point was directed at the MEDIA…If they let Vince walk the media would be killing them…..now that they signed him, some in the media will reverse direction and bash them about the contract. Of course this is no big shocker, that’s what the Boston Sports media does.
