BRUINS NEW ALL-ACCESS TELEVISION SERIES “BEHIND THE B” PRESENTED BY ALEX AND ANI DEBUTS MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 9 ON NESN

BOSTON, MA – Boston Bruins President Cam Neely announced today, September 4, that the organization’s new all-access television series “Behind the B” presented by Alex and Ani will debut on Monday, September 9 at 8:00 p.m. ET on NESN. A total of 13 episodes of “Behind the B” are slated to air during the 2013-14 season, beginning with the special hour-long series debut on September 9. All episodes will be narrated by actor and Worcester, MA native, Denis Leary.

The Bruins have granted “Behind the B” cameras unprecedented access into the team’s locker room, executive boardroom, and player’s homes that will give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of the organization throughout the entire season.

The hour-long premiere starts off in the Bruins locker room on June 24, 2013 with Head Coach Claude Julien consoling his charges following the team’s heartbreaking Game 6 loss in the Stanley Cup Final. Viewers will then join Neely, General Manager Peter Chiarelli and the rest of the club’s hockey operations brass in the boardroom and witness the sensitive discussions, phone calls and debates that were held before the major roster moves took place this offseason.

Later in Episode One, fans will get to know some of the new faces on the Bruins squad, as those players prepare for their first season as members of the Black & Gold, and will check in with some familiar faces to see the changes going on in their personal and professional lives.

The final segment covers the team’s annual Development Camp and brings viewers inside the weight room to spend time with Strength and Conditioning Coach John Whitesides. Here, the team’s hockey operations staff identifies two prospects that they believe will challenge for an NHL roster spot when the team’s training camp opens on Wednesday, September 11.

The air dates and times on NESN for the remaining episodes, which will be 30 minutes in length, will be confirmed as the season progresses.

Other exclusive “Behind the B” related content will be available on BostonBruins.com and the Boston Bruins Digital Entertainment Network (Bruins DEN) throughout the season.
