A few soundbites from the network shows yesterday:
Jets, Dolphins or Patriots: Who do you trust most today?
Cris Carter: “Miami. Kansas City used to be a special place to play. But, last Sunday before Christmas, a lot of people will be doing some shopping. No fans in the stands.”
Tom Jackson: “I trust New England. Been there, done that. This is their kind of weather. Arizona looks like they already have given up because they already have won that division.”
Keyshawn Johnson: “I trust the Miami Dolphins. You know exactly what you’re going to get. They are playing Kansas City Chiefs, they can’t figure it out right now. Who’s the general manager? My coach is getting an extension? They’ve already packed it up, they’re gone.”
Mike Ditka: “I’m extremely comfortable with New England, they know how to play. Now, if you think that the Cardinals didn’t show up last week, wait till you see this drive-by today.”

Highlights From Week 16 of NBC’s “Football Night In America”

yeah, I think Howie Long hit the nail on the head……I had to laugh last week, some caller to the Dennis and Callahan Show asked them, “do you think given the injuries, Bill Bellichick should be given serious consideration for the Coach Of the Year Award?”…..in UNISON, almost before the caller finished the question, both of them shouted together, “NO!”…..lol…as if god-forbid the caller should even ask such a question!……There will be no homerism, cheerleading, or rumpswabing on the D&C Show……..jeeze, the Boston Sports Media is pretty funny in their own pathetic sort of way…..lol

Are Dennis and Callahan still on the air? I thought they’d be down practicing on the greens in Florida and Arizona and far away from this liberal hell hole where people actually like sports!

Fishercat, you were doing so well until you welcomed the warm embrace of Frank from Gloucester. Hope for your sake you don’t pick up his dental hygeine habits.

so they moved the jets-fins to 4pm. that’s not good. if the pats win, the jets can’t win the division and therefore fall into the “nothing to play for” category. imagine if the pats win, mangini asking his team to play hard to help his friend bill. i guess the jets could sneak into the wildcard if the ravens lose, but after watching the jags perfomance against the colts….highly unlikely.

But Mike, the Ravens-Jaguars game got moved to 4:00, so the Jets will absolutely be playing for something when they kickoff against the Dolphins. Now should they glance at the scoreboard and see Baltimore leading 28-3 in the second quarter, that’s a different story.
But Mangini is also playing for employment. Should the Pats and Ravens both win, I’m sure playing to save his job with the added irony of helping Belichick in the process won’t be lost on the Mangenius.

I love it how secularists are a giant thread to Christmas, but not the corporate interests who have turned Jesus’ birthday into a giant orgy. Personally, I think someone should have drawn the line when they started commercializing Hannukah. As if screwing with one religion wasn’t enough…
Sorry, wrong message boards. Let me make it up to you by declaring that Rajon Rondo is my binky.
