The buzz: Jon Miller, currently a voice of the Giants, is being coveted by the Red Sox, a former employer. He’ll continue as ESPN’s lead baseball announcer regardless.
Wonder who he’d replace? I don’t mind Jerry Trupiano most of the time, the exception being his excitement over balls that get caught at the warning track. Last night was a perfect example. After Baerga’s three run triple put the Sox up 7-4. Nomar followed, and “There’s a high drive, DEEP, WAY BACK, That ball iisss…..CAUGHT…on the warning track…”
