Looks like I’ll be using the mute button at least seven more times. Can’t listen to Eck and his “witty” words such as cheese, hair, gas etc.
Lowe and Timlin? This ought to be interesting!
Since it would interest folks here, I’ll paraphrase what was said this morning:
D+C just talked about the Boomer situation. For 6 years, CBS has told Boomer that he can’t appear on a non-CBS affiliate. He had been on WEEI (D+C) for years and used the leverage of the relationship to basically have them just say whatever. This year, though, they must have put the foot down and said CBS or nothing.
Guess you can’t fault CBS here. Even with the existing relationship, any public-facing media personality signs away certain aspects of freedom when under contract, and CBS wants to enforce this with the media wars between the sports networks heating up.
