Some  great news here, on select West coast games this season – games in recent years in which Tommy Heinsohn hasn’t been able to travel to – Mike Gorman will be joined on Celtics telecasts by Bill Walton. (Good luck getting a word in edgewise, Mike.)

  1. This should be interesting. I hope that Mike Gorman can get a word in edgewise when he's on with Walton. I know that Walton's been in-studio, but has he ever done live color commentary in a game?

    1. Eddie, Walton had done color commentary for years. He did games for NBC and ESPN. He was the color guy for the brawl at the Palace. He was also the the color guy for the Clippers for years. Get ready for some of the most over the top but awesome commentary you will ever hear.

    2. It's a good thing he won't be there when the C's play the Lakers since he won't be able to stop babbling incoherently about his bench warming son.

  2. Thank God !! People who have actually accomplished something great in their Basketball Careers to give honest analysis instead of Mr. Pretty Boy Donny Marshall and the rest of the Broadcast suck-ups. Dave Cowens welcome home…….you've been gone too long. One of the all time Celtic Greats for those of us old enough to have watched him play. Thank you Danny Ainge and Comcast !!!
