After the stirring opening night win over Miami, it seemed inevitable for there to be a letdown for the Celtics last night as they traveled out to Cleveland for the Cavs’ home opener. It didn’t take long for call to go out – Gary Washburn’s notebook has Shaq picking up a technical last night, and a number of other items from the game.
Tom Heinsohn’s antics unseen by Celtics’ viewers– Bill Doyle has Heinsohn and Mike Gorman talking about their time together, including what fans don’t get to see Heinsohn doing during the CSN broadcasts.
Randy Moss poses challenge for Pats – Mike Reiss says that the Vikings receiver just might get the better of his former teammates.
Position is clearly versatile – Michael Vega examines some of the different ways that the Patriots have deployed their front line this season. Christopher Price also has a good piece on the players up front.

Synopsis:
Sure, she can be a little overbearing sometimes, but baby-faced Johnny Rizzo loves his fiancée Claire, and he made her a promise: by the time he’s 25-years-old, he’ll trade his current dream job as a local sports talk radio host (even if it is the 2 a.m. slot) for something that’ll pay bigger bucks. And Johnny’s nothing, if not a man of his word.
Now he’s flying to New York to interview for some snoozeville job that Claire’s well-to-do father set up. Enter Uncle Terry, who lives in New York, a rascally womanizer bent on turning a day in the Hamptons into a final fling for his nephew. Nice guy Johnny’s not interested, of course, but then he meets the lovely Brooke…
Starring: Edward Burns, Matt Bush, Kerry Bishé, Anna Wood and Max Baker

This trailer does not make me want to see this movie. No characters are sympathetic. Plot seems like drivel. Why does sports radio dumb down everything it touches?

Ed Norton is a fine actor…so I am wondering what happened….I was hoping this was an ad and then actual trailer had not started yet…then it's over.

Ed Burns is a horrible actor, who for some reason has convinced people with money that he has writing skills in addition with acting skills. His movies are terrible male fantasies that have no true emotional resonance. He sucks and this trailer is awful. A terrible setup for a terribly cliched plot. He may surpass Mike Binder as the most overly indulgent writer/actor ever. Tough to do, but I am pulling for him.

Eddie Burns is quality. If he gets his sports radio bonafides in order, he can get a shot on 96.9 after the above board, award winning Phantom Gourmet show.
