THE SPORTS MUSEUM ANNOUNCES HONOREES FOR 9TH ANNUAL ‘THE TRADITION’
The Signature Summer Celebration of Boston Sports
Tickets On-Sale Now for the June 14th Event at TD Garden
BOSTON, MA – The Sports Museum is proud to announce the honorees for this summer’s 9th annual ‘The Tradition’, to take place at the TD Garden on Monday, June 14. The 1970 Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award; the Baseball Legacy Award will go to Dwight Evans of the Boston Red Sox; the Basketball Legacy Award will be presented to Jo Jo White of the Boston Celtics; the Soccer Legacy Award will be given to Kristine Lilly, Olympic and World Cup hero and a current member of the Boston Breakers; the Football Legacy Award will be received by New England Patriot Hall of Famer Steve Nelson; and the Media Legacy award will be presented to Jerry Remy, MLB broadcaster and longtime voice of the Boston Red Sox for NESN.
‘The Tradition’ is the annual fundraising event for The Sports Museum, a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational institution housed at the TD Garden. Presented by New Balance in association with NESN, TD Garden, and the Boston Globe, ‘The Tradition’ provides a once in a lifetime opportunity for its guests. A ticket to ‘The Tradition’ grants the opportunity to mingle with some of New England’s most legendary athletes at a welcoming gala reception. Each ticket also guarantees a seat for the awards ceremony, where fans can share in the career highlights and accomplishments of each honoree as they are interviewed on stage by the ceremony’s hosts, Dale Arnold and Michael Holley.
