Fluto Shinzawa has the Bruins continuing to get their act together, this time with a 6-0 thumping of the Anaheim Ducks. Steve Conroy says that home cooking is apparently just what the Bruins needed. Bud Barth has the Bruins finding the cure to all their ailments at home. Mike Loftus has the Bruins doing the pushing in this one. Joe Haggerty has the Bruins returning to the style that has brought them success this season.

Mark Murphy has Marbury’s former coach, Flip Saunders saying that the guard will be able to help the Celtics. Lenny Megliola says that signing Marbury is a bold, but correct move for the Celtics.

On the BSMW Full Court Press, Jeremy Gottlieb says that Marbury is NOT the answer. Robert Lee has the Celtics limping back home from a painful road trip.

Free agency began at midnight this morning, but the Patriots are expected to be fairly quiet this offseason. Mike Reiss says that the Patriots might make some moves, but don’t expect an Adalius Thomas-type splash in free agency. Christopher Price says that the team probably won’t even make any moderate sized moves.

Karen Guregian says that getting the Matt Cassel situation sorted out quickly will allow the Patriots to do more in free agency if they desire. Michael Felger offers four thoughts on free agency and what the Patriots should and could do.  Guregian’s notebook has James Sanders hitting the open market at midnight.

Dan Shaughnessy and Sean McAdam have Rocco Baldelli set to make his Grapefruit league debut against his old team, the Tampa Rays. Michael Silverman has Brandon Moss still finding his place with the Pirates. Joe McDonald says that the trade has worked out well for both Moss and Jason Bay. Bill Burt says that the spotlight is on Jason Varitek and Josh Bard for all the wrong reasons.
