It’s a topic that hasn’t been discussed too much around here, David Borges had an article on it last week which I linked to on Friday, but this Boston College Ryan Glasper/Tom O’Brien thing is pretty ugly. Here’s an article on ESPN from Alan Grant on the topic, a messageboard thread on EagleInsider about it, and finally an AOL Sports blog entry accusing ESPN of burying the story because O’Brien’s daughter works (or worked) for ESPN.
While a lot of local papers are ramping up their Patriots coverage, the Woonsocket Call appears to be taking the opposite approach. A Patriots beat writer informed me today that Michael Parente, who has covered the Patriots beat for the Call for the last several years, has been told that the paper is pulling him from all Patriots coverage.
