This was my favorite Tweet of the day….Light wasn't even there!…gotta love Twitter where else can you get WRONG INFORMATION so fast?? D&C were all over it. "Oh wow! that's weird, Light loves to talk, must be some kind of protest!". i'm pretty sure he gets fined for doing this!"….LMAO

Strange RT @JennyVrentas: Matt Light's podium taken down at Media Day. Spokesman said he won't talk. #SuperBowlXLVI #wbz
Wish that the local media did more on this type of stuff.
Also, last night on NBCSports Talk (my 6pm choice if I'm not flipping to NFL32 or to SportsTonight at 6:30), you had Mike Florio and Albert Breer. Mike Florio looked like he had just got a pony for Christmas when they brought up none other than… take a guess now.. what issue links these two in marriage? Spygate and anything anti-Pats. While they didn't sit there and pull a Borges because NBC/NFLNetwork would never allow, it was nothing short of a slobbering love fest. It reminded me of what the cable news networks do all the time.
One thing that Florio brought up was something about "Matt Walsh?" and an issue that came up the Friday before Spygate? I might have the name and date wrong. Florio indicated that the Patriots came to Arizona thinking the issue was behind them. Something came up or the media made a big deal of it the Friday right before the Superbowl and it was not an excuse but a definite distraction.
Yesterday, Felger also indicated that Randy Moss was one of the big problems coming into the training/prep for that weekend. Where they stayed in Glendale, it was an absolute ghetto. They said that while the conditions were bad, security were walking around with loaded M4/M16s, but he also created a huge distraction during the last practice where Hoodie made them do the entire hour of it over. Is any of this true? I've never heard/read about it before so I wanted to check in here.
Bruce, I don't know if "Storify" changed its layout but this one worked a lot better than last time. The mash-up of content is also great for a post. Thanks.
Funny how Felger & Mazz have a prime spot on Radio Row and can hardly get any guests on with them. Sid Rosenberg? Some guy from a Baltimore radio station? Wow, that was worth flying out to Indy! Meanwhile a couple of booths down Mike Francesa has Al Michaels, Rich Eisen, the prez of the NCAA, the mayor of Indy…granted WFAN has more cache but even Gresh & Zo have done far more on the guest list than Felger & Mazz have been able to generate.

I was wondering the same yesterday. I had to figure that CBS would "help" F+M and other shows get some attention there. WEEI seems to be lacking as well, no?
Dan Patrick has also been rolling every single big figure there from Costas to Larry Bird.
Granted, some of the networks (ESPN) seem more restrictive with letting their talent appear in any form on another network, they are still coming on.
Felger has probably burned too many bridges is my bet.
WEEI is largely a joke. For the brief moment I listened to M&M, they were simply airing audio from large interviews. I don't know if they had in person guests but they were sure acting like they were bringing us something important.
Fleger was clear the other day he didn't want any guests, or as few as possible, and none of the non-football variety like a mayor or an NCAA prez or an actor plugging some movie. They are usually a waste of time. Do you really miss Eddie Andelman's procession of insiders, touts, gofers, shills, casino bosses, ex-wrestlers, network flacks, etc.? Well maybe a little..
I dunno, I'd much rather hear Al Michaels than "Dan from the Cape" myself.
I heard him make the point about Kevin James or whoever walking down radio row — but honestly, they're on the air for 4 hours every day, what difference does 5 minutes make? Once in a while you get something amusing that happens and pushing Felger & Mazz out of their conspiracy theories about Gronk's ankle isn't a bad thing either.
Beyond that, they've missed FOOTBALL related guests and former players who have been on other shows. Today they did manage to get Phil Simms on for a few minutes, but IMO from what I've sampled, the Big Show was the better draw in terms of landing interesting guests, as were Gresh & Zo.
I agree with bsmfan and Winning that it is interesting the "prime" drive-time show on 98.5 has gotten the least amount of guests compared to their earlier show and the competition.

Did you know that Hoodie was once a model for Starter jackets?

Florio was also riding the "patriots are snowing us regarding gronk's ankle train" ala Corky Mazz.
Knowing that these two are thinking the same way puts a spring in my step.

Also, someone on media day had fun making fun of Gronk's "Yo soy fiesta" between the Pats.

And, in this week's SI, Peter King did an awesome article about the Pats/Kraft. Well worth the read:
