If not for BC senior Jermaine Watson jumping out his second story window, it was a pretty quiet Saturday on the local sports front. Having just about maxed myself out with the near 3,000-word column posted below these links, this isn’t going to be extensive. Don’t worry, though, you’re not missing anything.

The bizarre Watson incident, which has him jumping out a second story glass window but not being injured, is covered by Laurel J. Sweet and Mike Shalin at the Herald and the Globe’s Michael Vega.

Meanwhile, Bob Ryan writes his Sunday column on Syracuse winning the Big East championship in New York.

On the Red Sox front, Chris Snow has another solid feature, this time on Matt Clement. Former Red Sox beat writer Nick Cafardo has the Globe’s notebook, while Gordon Edes has his Sunday notes package.

Howard Bryant has a feature on Nomar Garciaparra. Good read here as Bryant seems to improve by the day and is easily the most enjoyable full-time columnist at the Herald.

Tony Massarotti also has his Sunday baseball notes.

And again, “Sundays with Sully” appears directly below this posting.
