There’s a lot going on today, so I’m just going to have hit you with a few quicklinks today.

98.5 The SportsHub comes online at 1:00pm today with Felger and Massarotti. Their website is finally re-directing properly. This morning the station has been playing Patriots Super Bowl highlights. These are not available for online streaming, per NFL rules, but when 1:00pm rolls around, you should be able to listen online.

Tony Massarotti, Michael Felger and Damon Amendolara are already blogging on the new station website.

Greg St. Martin has a quick look at the new station’s launch in the Metro. Not everyone is excited about the new station though. (Not that I’m agreeing in any way with some of those opinions.)

Check out for all the coverage of last night’s 8-2 win over the Detroit Tigers.

Jerry Remy came to park last night, spoke with the media, and spent a half-inning the booth with Don Orsillo and Dennis Eckersley. He spoke about his recovery from cancer and revealed that he had been suffering from and treated for depression, triggered in part by not being able to do the job that he loved. Ian Browne has a great article on Remy, and Sean McAdam and Ben Collins report on the NESN broadcaster as well.

Head on over to to get caught on all things Patriots for tonight’s game, where Tom Brady will take the field for the first time since last September.

Albert Breer has a detailed look at Tom Brady’s rehab process. Christopher Price gives us five things to look for in tonight’s Patriots preseason opener.

On Patriots Daily we go back to 42 years ago today, when the Patriots played an NFL opponent for the first time. It didn’t go so well. We’ll have more throughout the day as we lead up to the game tonight..

Elsewhere, you know, this just hurts. Bob Ryan thinks so too.

If you get a chance, check out this interview that Jerry Beach did with Pedro Martinez back in 2005, where Pedro discusses the Boston media.

Bob Ekstrom will be back later today with the blog links.

  1. “(Not that I’m agreeing in any way with some of those opinions.)” Yes, make sure you make that clear. Wouldn’t want the CBS radio guys to think you’re anything less than a cheerleader for them. I wonder if you’re ever going to look at this new station with any sort of critical eye, or if the press agent duties and love fest for them will just continue. Two of the most obnoxious, condescending jerks in Boston media are about to take the air this afternoon, and you haven’t uttered word one about it. Rah ! Rah ! Go Team !

    1. Thanks for paying attention. I’ve been extremely skeptical about the Felger/Massarotti duo. See Free Advice for WBZ-FM

Yeah, that was a real love fest.

By saying I wasn’t agreeing with the opinions in that blog meant that I wasn’t agreeing that they need to open the vaults and give Fitzy and the Barstool sports guys their own shows.

      Get a clue.

  2. Who is running the controls over there, Tiki and Torch?

Online we are getting feedback and either left or right fading out from time to time.
