So, if Mort is always wrong then Cassel will be gone before draft day.
I think he’s gone anyway. Some team will trade for or sign him. A good QB is too hard to find. He’s not one of the 10 best QB’s, but he is in the top half of starting QB’s. The Pats won’t be able to say no because 2 first rounders plus the cap room saved is about as good a deal as you will find today. I know it’s potentially only one year of cap savings but you play be the rules as they are, if the cap stays you’ll be glad you held off, if it goes, you’ll have more money to blow.
