Sox Offense Sputters Against Haren

The Red Sox got a strong outing from Josh Beckett, but couldn’t solve Dan Haren, who held Boston to two hits over seven innings last night in a 2-1 Arizona win at Fenway Park.

Amalie Benjamin has the Sox dealing with their share of bad luck last night, including an injury to Kevin Youkilis on a night that Sean Casey began his suspension. With the inexperienced Brandon Moss at first base, a grounder to first was mishandled by Moss, allowing the second Diamondback run to score.
