Both the Bruins and the Celtics were North of the border last night, and both came away with victories.

The Bruins got a terrific performance from Tuukka Rask, who withstood an early pelleting from the Montreal Canadiens and the Bruins got third period goals from Tyler Seguin and David Krejci for a 2-1 win over their rivals. The Bruins improved to 7-1-1 on the season.

Meanwhile, the Celtics came back from 10 points down in the fourth quarter to post a 99-95 win in Toronto over the Raptors. The win was the fifth in a row for the Celtics.

If Rondo looked like John Stockton or Mark Price and acted the way he does, would the word “punk” be used so liberally?

Kobe Bryant dishes on Celtics – I’m always a little uncomfortable hearing or reading Jackie MacMullan talk about Kobe Bryant. There’s a little too much admiration there. He does offer some interesting thoughts on the Celtics, Rajon Rondo and Bill Belichick.

Lakers still stir emotions among Celtics’ faithful – Lenny Megliola notes that no matter the records, Lakers/Celtics always causes some buzz.

  3. The Celtics DESTROYED the Lakers.
    Balanced scoring AGAIN.
    Six players in double figures…AGAIN.
    Please guys tell me again how they’re worse without Rondo.

    At some point you have to do what you want some in the media to do and admit when you are WRONG.
    The evidence that they’re worse without Rondo does not appear to be going in favor of the “Celts are in trouble without Rondo” camp.

    1. When they make it out of the first round of the playoffs without Rondo I will be more than happy to admit I was wrong. As they are presently constituted I don’t think they can beat any of the top 6 teams in the East in a 7 game series. Opposing defenses will key in on our ballhandlers and force us into a slowed down half court offense where Lee or Bradley will just be getting us into a play with about 10 seconds left on the shot clock. And if that happens you’re gonna see a lot of those 18 foot Paul Pierce step back jumpers with a hand in his face that go in at about a 30% clip…..HOWEVER I will admit that tonight was probably their best (and probably most enjoyable) game of the season and it did happen without Rondo, so there you go…

      And he had the audacity to wear a WHITE suit.
      You probably think he wasn’t the actual killer . That he handed his buddies the knives so he could pad his assist numbers.
